June 2-6, 2025

Encore 2025 is fast approaching! 2025 marks NBC’s 34th Annual Encore Retreat - a retreat designed for those who are age 55+. Each year this retreat brings with it the anticipation of renewing acquaintances and making new friends. These retreats are designed so that personal refreshment and spiritual renewal are blended with learning and fellowship in a very relaxed atmosphere.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: HENRY VANDERMEER

Marilyn and Henry are in their 50th year of marriage. Marilyn is very much gifted in the use of her hands: carpenter, electrician, plumber, mechanic besides being a great listener and encourager. Henry was a teacher and principal in the Christian School movement and a pastor and District Representative with Village Missions of Canada. Henry retired in 2021 and again in 2024. They are now in a different season of encouragement and blessing. They love the outdoors. They love spending time in their homemade, wood fired, outdoor hot tub, especially on those cool fall and spring nights!! It is their hope that you will leave this retreat with the idea of blessing others as you are in a very unique stage of life!!

Campus Activities

Horseshoe pits, crokinole boards, bocce balls, board games, and other activities will be available for those interested in some friendly competition. Feel free to bring your own equipment or games to add to the fun.

Talent Show

This year will see the return of the Talent Show, an opportunity to share the talents God has given you. Bring along your musical instrument, singing voice, a ventriloquist puppet, or whatever else you need to showcase your talent.

Music

Throughout the week retreaters will have an opportunity to worship together in music. Please come prepared to sing together. If you play an instrument, bring it along to bless others through music.

"Morning in the Classroom"

Get an opportunity to see what life as a student at Nipawin Bible College is like. "Morning in the Classroom" is a time with one of NBC's instructors during which you get a chance to experience NBC's academic programs.

Extra Features

There will be an opportunity to enjoy a relaxing houseboat cruise on the scenic Saskatchewan River (for an additional fee), take in a round or two of bowling, tour the Nipawin District Living Forestry Museum, and more.
