Carman Mennonite Church is a congregation striving to be a Christian community of healing and hope. We invite applications for a 0.5 FTE pastoral position with the possibility this would increase to fulltime.
We are a mostly senior congregation of 60-70 active members as well as some younger families with regular adult and children’s bible study. We have been located in the picturesque town of Carman, MB. for 75 years. An agricultural town of 3000, providing schools, churches, hospital, senior care home and four season recreational facilities. As an independent Anabaptist church we are looking for someone who models a sincere Christian faith, exhibits strong relational skills and community mindedness. Duties would include preaching, teaching, pastoral care, visitation with those in care homes, connecting with the community and area ministerial, working with the worship committee to provide meaningful experiences of worship which enable people to connect with God, foster a love for and nurture disciples of Jesus the Christ. This would be done with the support of lay leadership.
