Role Details – Bible/General Education Instructor
… Primary role is classroom instruction. Twelve credit hours per semester is considered full-time for
those without significant administrative roles (dependent upon class sizes).
… Courses taught would likely include Bible/Theology (e.g., Gospels, General Epistles, Minor
Prophets), general education and ministry training courses (e.g., Communicating the Bible, Apologetics
& Evangelism, Ministry Foundations, Leadership Dynamics, Church History, and varying
electives). This can be somewhat dependent upon specific education, experience and interest.
NBC can provide current syllabi and course notes/outlines.
… Position may be combined with other administrative or leadership roles depending upon the individual’s
gifting and the current needs of the college.
… Starting salary is $46,980/year with benefits (could be flexible pending experience)

Role Purpose and Details (.6 FTE - 24hr a week) March 2026

bookstore, and completing some administrative responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency.
Role Purposes
- Ensure that any contacts, customers, and students feel welcome and comfortable at the front desk.
This is done by greeting customers cheerfully and with enthusiasm, making them feel good about their
experience with NBC. - Maintain academic records and registrations, working in connection with the academic dean to
ensure compliance with academic policies. - Be the main administrator for the NBC bookstore, ordering textbooks, and sourcing biblically faithful
resources applicable to our students, guests, and community.1 - Help administrate College communication as necessary and designated administrative duties or
projects pertaining to their role responsibilities. - Be a positive role model for students through appropriate attitude, action, and a willingness to serve.
- Ensure excellence in all areas of this role, characterized by promptness, accuracy, servanthood, and
sensitivity.
Role Function
- Primarily, this employee is responsible to the president. However, in work related to the registrar
position, this employee is responsible to the academic dean. - This employee serves primarily at the front desk as necessary, but there may be opportunities to work
out of a separate office as it is available or helpful to create helpful space for their work.
Key Skills for Maximum Effectiveness
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and email as a minimum).
- Good communication skills.

NOTE: there is the possibility of combining this role with the Assistant Cook position, for a combined total of 34 hours/week.
Role Purpose and Details 0.25 FTE (10 hr/week) March 2026
The Assistant Cook position is vital to assisting the Food Services Department of NBC. The
two primary concerns for this position are quality food service that is enjoyable
(aesthetically pleasing and economical) and healthy relationships with students. This role
is responsible to the Food Services Manager for overall job performance, though
performance and development reviews may also be conducted by the President, given the
small size of our organization.

... To provide a food services environment that is safe, clean, healthy, and highly
satisfactory.
... To be part of working relationships that are constructive and productive, including
with co-workers, supervisors, distributors, and student workers.
... To support the Food Services Manager as they strive to exercise good stewardship of
resources in all areas related to the Food Services Department, without sacrificing on
the above-mentioned primary concerns.
... To conduct public and in-house events in an attractive and professional manner.
... To engage in ongoing evaluation and willing discussion of role purposes as towards
ensuring they meet the Food Services needs of the institution.
Role Function
The Food Services department relates to a number of other departments and personnel on
a regular basis. The following outlines some of those relationships and the nature of their
involvement. These could include, but not be limited to, Student Life, the NBC Event
Coordinator, Finance and Facility Managers, Student Work and Deacon’s track supervisors,
Tour Team Directors (FaceDown, etc) and NBC sport tournaments.
Role Details
... Primary responsibilities include assisting the Food Services Manager in the
following areas: cooking, menu planning, food purchasing and preparation, and
supervision of other Food Services personnel. Specific responsibilities will be worked
out with the Food Services Manager.
... There will be opportunity to work extra (paid) hours during College events like
Alumni Weekend, DOXA, and Missions Conference.
... The Assistant Cook will work 10 hours per week in the kitchen. It should be noted
that the role of Assistant Cook is salaried, and that they will receive days off during
semester breaks, Christmas holidays, and typically the latter part of April. In light of
this, the employee should endeavour to track hours of the year and aim for an
appropriate weekly average.
