Food Services & Tutor

Louise and her husband Ken returned to Saskatchewan in June of 2021, sensing that the Lord wanted them closer to family in the west.  Camp Ministry was their vocational call and they served over 30 years with One Hope Canada, then Louise went on to serve as Executive Director with the Evangelical Missionary Church Camps in Ontario for 12 years.  After being trained as directors at an Ontario camp, they went into Haliburton County and planted a One Hope (CSSM) ministry in that area reaching youth and teens with the Gospel message.  A high privilege for Louise was to be able to teach Bible in the public schools until the government restricted that program.  In the late 90's they came west and their years at Torch Trail Bible Camp planted in them a love for the prairies making the 'retirement' decision to move back to Saskatchewan easy.

Coming alongside others and helping them succeed in their endeavors, be it helping at VBS's, summer camps or church functions is how Louise wishes to spend this time in her life.  More recently, the opportunity opened at NBC to serve alongside the head cook and to tutor students wishing for guidance in prepping research papers and assignments.  While reading is a favourite pastime, she loves to create and finds projects to fill that desire.

The Leonard's have three adult children and two grandchildren.
