What is three60five?

three60five is NBC's retreat for youth in grades 9-12 which is typically held in March each year.  Besides main sessions with a speaker and worship through music, retreaters take part in workshops on multiple topics that relate to youth today.  Wide games, activity rooms, coffee house, hanging out with NBC students in the dorms and great food round out this weekend to challenge youth to grow in their walk with Jesus.

Galatians 1:10

For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Our theme this year, QUEST FOR APPROVAL, centres around Paul challenging the church in Galatia to think about who he is trying to please. As a servant of Christ, Paul recognizes that his "Quest for Approval" must be directed toward God and not toward men. Where does your own "Quest for Approval" lead? Who are you trying to please?

Speaker: Colin Bell

Colin Bell has been the Lead Pastor of the Austin Evangelical Fellowship church since October 2005. He is married to Dawn and has two daughters: Kimberly and Alyssa. Colin’s passion in ministry is echoed in the words of Paul in 1 Corinthians 2:1-5, to not come proclaiming the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom, but to preach Jesus Christ and him crucified in demonstration of the spirit and of power, believing fully that faith does not rest in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Colin loves spending time with his family, and people (a complete extrovert), and watching sports (particularly the Green Bay Packers, Winnipeg Jets, and Toronto Blue Jays).
