Instructor

Jay is glad to serve the Lord as a member of NBC’s faculty for a second consecutive year. He considers himself incredibly privileged to teach the Bible and theology in a full-time capacity.

Prior to his present role, he completed a pastoral internship at a church in Regina as the final component of his Master of Divinity degree. Before entering seminary, he worked for three different companies in the building materials industry. He was born again after an encounter with a Jehovah’s Witness during his days as an outside sales rep for a ceramic tile distributor.

Jay has lived in Saskatchewan his entire life, and he longs to see more healthy churches on the Canadian Prairies. He is convinced that steadfast teaching of the sound doctrine found in Scripture will strengthen the body of Christ wherever it exists.

Jay is happily married to his wife, Katelyn. They have been blessed with two curious, energetic children. As a family, they enjoy Christian fellowship and using their gifts to help others. Jay himself is interested in most aspects of conservative evangelical theology. He is always willing to recommend good Christian biographies or other books that God uses to transform sinners into the image of the Son he loves.
