Nipawin Bible College will be presenting our annual Christmas Cantata Saturday, December 13. This year’s presentation is “Immanuel: God With Us,” and is a contemporary story of God’s presence and work in our lives – not just at Christmas but throughout the entire year. Many people today question the relevancy of God and what Jesus coming as a baby has to do with us over 2000 years later. The drama follows a young lady who struggles with these very questions and many will see themselves in this character. It is the hope of director and writer, Myra Schmidt, that everyone will be encouraged to continue in their walk with God and experience the presence of God in a new and fresh way.
This is a family friendly presentation of music, drama, and video testimonies. Directed by Myra Schmidt, NBC’s Fine Arts Director, the music is a collection of songs by artists like Jason Dyba, Tommy Walker, Keith Getty, Stuart Townend, Jason Gray, and Bill & Gloria Gaither. The music is presented by a choir of NBC staff & students and Nipawin community members. A band of NBC students which includes the harp played by Janeil Mehrer and flute played by Lindsay Elford will accompany the choir. The drama is presented by NBC’s drama team “Living Proof.”
All are invited to attend and everyone is encouraged to stay for Christmas baking and fellowship after the performance. An offering will be taken.
